Newbie comments / feedback I just signed up and here is some instant feedback.
I've looked at a lot of applications like this recently and I ALMOST ditched BudgetTracker for one reason: Nowhere on the marketing site (the area you see before you login) does it say that this is an "Online application". I've been Googling for Personal Finance applications and there are LOTS that you have to install on the PC - so the first

Calendar 1. On My Calendar, there is no obvious "Add Event" button or link (you have to stumble on clicking the date).
2. When you click on the "Events Forecast" tab, you are taken to a page called "Birthdays/Events," which is a little disconcerting if you use your calendar primarily to track financially significant dates, not personal events.

Addons/Beta Applications/Custom Applications The top-level link in the Navigation module calls them "Addons"; in the "Other" top-level link of Simple Navigation, they are called "Beta Applications"; and in Tips and Information, they are called "Custom Applications." I like "Custom Apps" or "U-Designs" myself. "Addons" and "Beta Applications" don't convey the user-created aspect.

transactions/bills couldn't you add something when entering/editing an existing transaction to tie it to one of the bills as paid? then one wouldn't always have to go separately into the bills section and record it that way. would be much faster for the way some of us function. =) (then maybe you could also fix the thing where when you tie it to the bill it acts like it paid the "budgeted" amount instead of the actu

Implications of what I'm doing.... Sometimes I've wanted to change transactions (because it's not tied to my budget right or something) and when I do, other changes that I wasn't anticipating happen in other places. It'd be nice if there was a pop-up that let me know what other changes would be happening to categories, other accounts etc.
I really like the site, but I don't completely understand how everything works. I've done

Paying over multiple days I budget a certain amount each week for things like groceries, gasoline, etc. If I have budgeted $100 for gasoline and I spend $50 on Tuesday and still have $50 left in my budget for the rest of the week, what's the best way to record this?

Calendar Colors Is it or could it be possible to shade the calendar day color reminder to correspond to the account from which its going to be drawn from. I know you can the text but the shade would make it more visible.

Loosing Notes because of auto log off Dear Admin,
I am very happy with the website, and I love having all of my information in one place. I use notes application on a regular basis as my journal. This happened several times that I lose what I wrote because the website was logging me out automatically not detecting that I was in the process of typing stuff up. Is it possible to either auto save your every few minutes or extend the log

Storing receipts under the bill tab Any plans to be able to store a receipt under the bill tab as well as the transaction tab?
Would be nice to be able to upload the receipt or invoice when the bill is initially loaded instead of us having to hold on to it until its paid to upload after it shows up as a transaction.

Adding more space to notes Dear admin,
I use my notes as my journal and sometimes I write a lot of stuff in there. I recently noticed that a lot of my entries have been cutoff because there is a limit on a number of characters that you can post...Could you please make it unlimited or extend it? I love this website, and I would rather use it for everything including my notes rather that using a separate blog site....thank y
